Employment - Intramural Sports

Intramural Sports is hiring Officials and Intramural Assistants for the 2008-2009 school year. Preference will be given to candidates who have work-study for the 2008-2009 school year. You may view the full position description on the University Recreation employment website. If you are interested, please complete the Intramural Sports Employment Application online from the University Recreation Employment website. The general UW-Stout application will not be accepted for this position. The application may be submitted electronically or mailed to the University Recreation Office – 41 Sports & Fitness Center, Menomonie WI 54751. Officials:
We are looking for officials to referee flag football, basketball, hockey, volleyball, softball & dodgeball. Previous officiating experience is preferred, but not required. This position would begin September 7th, 2008. Candidates must have a minimum of two semesters of student employment eligibility and be available to work afternoon and evening hours Sunday – Thursday during the school year.

Intramural Sports Assistants:
IM Assistants work as both scorekeepers for intramural activities and in the University Recreation Office as front desk staff. This position would begin September 7th, 2008. Candidates must have a minimum of two semesters of student employment eligibility. Work hours are flexible throughout the week with morning, mid-day, and evening hours available. Some weekend work will be required.

Youth Outdoor Summer Adventure

University Recreation - Stout Adventures is proud to offer a Youth Outdoor Summer Adventure Camp (YOSA) for the Menomonie area youth going into grades 3-8. The Youth Outdoor Summer Adventure Camp is an exciting way to stay active this summer. Additionally, the camp will help teach kids the basics to a new outdoor endeavor. This four day camp is jam packed with fun outdoor events. If your child(ren) are truly adventurous, then sign them up now for a great experience.

Hockey Team takes 3rd at St. Cloud

St. Cloud, Minnesota (February 25th, 2008) The Super Skunks took 3rd place at the 14th Annual St. Cloud State Husky Hockey Classic this weekend competing against teams from across the region including Madison and Canada. The team had a grueling schedule which forced them to play 7 games over the weekend. The team consisted of Matt Fuerst, Tommy Bergum, Jake Horejsh, Derek Larson, Shane Medin, Nate Nelmark, Dayne Clarquist, Bryan Rud, Trevor Sikkink, Cory Miller, Jeremy Bennis, and Matt White.
